Speciality Food and the Speciality Fine Food Fair have scoured the length and breadth of the UK to uncover the small businesses offering an authentic taste of their region.

One producer in particular, recognised in these awards, has stood out to me since my time as a buyer at Selfridges — and I’m absolutely delighted to see them receive the recognition they so richly deserve.

Joanna Morgan of Radnor Preserves has amassed over 100 accolades to date and truly deserves the title The Alchemist of Preservers. To mark her recognition as a Regional Food Star, Joanna has created a special, limited-edition marmalade that pays tribute to her home region of Wales.

Welsh Tapestry Marmalade is a zingy, zesty four-citrus preserve. The finely interwoven peel evokes the woven strands of a traditional Welsh blanket, honouring the country’s rich textile heritage and celebrating its cultural depth through flavour.

The marmalade has already received top honours — winning Gold at this year’s Cheese Board Awards — and is a fitting symbol of Joanna’s craft, creativity and deep-rooted sense of place.
